Films Lee Kun-Yong Published Tuesday, Feb 8, 2022 Lee Kun-Yong, whose practice spans performance, sculpture, installation, and video, rose to prominence as a leading figure of the Korean avant-garde during the 1970s, a period in which the country grappled with authoritarianism and repression of freedom of expression.In this film, produced on the occasion of his exhibition at our gallery in Seoul, we see Lee conduct some of his signature performances and paint new canvases in his studio.
